What other people say:
"I've been playing for singers for more than half a century so I know what I like......just the same as the judges at the Leeds piano competition. They look for beauty of tone, technique, understanding, judgement, integrity, passion, artistry and magic. I can hear all that when Jane sings."

"I have played in Red Earth Opera Orchestra and in support of Torbay Jubilee Choir with Jane at the helm since 2013. Her enthusiasm, musicality and professional approach has made every performance most enjoyable.
I have also worked alongside Jane at Torbay and South Devon Music Centre, where her patient support and sympathetic transposition of parts has helped many youngsters make a good start in ensemble playing."

"I have played in Red Earth Opera Orchestra for two years and have thoroughly enjoyed taking part. As an amateur musician I am full of admiration for all that Jane does and particularly appreciate her clarity of conducting (so important for amateurs!) and organisational skills."

"I always enjoyed Jane's singing lessons, they were fun but challenged me out of my comfort zone and built my confidence and skill up to sing solo in a musical."
Rachel, Devon
“I’ve worked under Jane’s direction as a member of Red Earth Opera; Torbay Jubilee Choir; and Chudleigh Community Choir. She always manages to instil me with confidence, while stretching me to achieve ever better results.”
Kate, Devon
"As an adult learner I was slightly nervous of finding a teacher, having not learnt an instrument before (flute in this case). Jane put me at ease straight away and after my first lesson I came away thinking wow this all makes sense now. Over the course of a year whilst Jane was in the same area (Devon is too far for a lesson sadly) I progressed in both playing and confidence and with Jane’s steady guidance and no fuss attitude discovered singing and saxophone alongside progressing on the flute. Janes words of “stand up and be beautiful” still ring in my ears if I feel my posture slipping! I have since gone onto learn different instruments and cannot stress enough how important that good start, grounding Jane provided as a teacher has stood me in good stead."
